Learning To Blog!

Well  today is the Phanatic's birthday and how appropriate is his picture!!!  If a picture is worth a thousand words and the Phanatic is Tweeting, we know he is limited to 140 characters. How do you respond to questions in a limited voice? How do you make an impression or create a meaningful conversation?

As our class starts to post Blog entries, it is important that they take their writing seriously and with purpose.  Anyone can go on and on without saying a single important idea. It  is those of us who use this social media tool in the most beneficial manner, that will be remembered and leave a thought provoking post. Make the impression, leave the  thought provoking post or comment, engage a conversation, and make an impact.

As we learn how to use each Social Media tool, we must be aware of the power that we hold and potential to make a difference to our readers. Make the  difference!!!!

  1. You make the limited words you have strong words to catch the attension of the people following what you have to say. Using the right words can make the difference especially with a limit on how many you can use.
PS: Not really feeling the pink background...just saying

  2. Posting a great comment that gets people going in a tweet can be very beneficial. This will help you get the word out more and make people follow you. Your backround should appeal to all ranges of people to maximize followers. Also, posting pictures is a great way to attract people to your social media accounts.

  3. I think the color backroud is off putting for the male demographic of potential viewers because once they see the pink they will close the page cause they think it is an article about women thoughts.

  4. The Phanatic is hilarious. I need to look at a few of his tweets from his birthday because I bet most are very funny. He loves to mess with people which he most likely did on Twitter. How old is he though? I think this is a great blog and post. People will enjoy learning fun facts such as the Phanatic's birthday. I love your background by the way!

  5. Just because someone posts about something that you may not consider important does not mean it is not important to them therefore that statement is false and my feelings were hurt.

  7. All comments posted should be used to catch someones attention , no one cares about the little things people are more intrigued by things that matter in the world like politics , economics , sports etc...

  9. Your blog represents social media and its implications. The color is vibrant but may suggest a variety of themes.

  10. I like the layout. It's very inviting, almost like a party. Yeah, we could definitely have a party up in here.

  11. Any comment that you make should have some sort of thought behind it. No one wants to read your opinion about something if it isn't interesting or far-fetched. I don't like your background. A medium shade of brown would be a more appropriate color.

  12. Your blog should include some more information about the type of class you teach because it is not a very widely-known class and i dont think it is incredibly common so other people might want to know about it

  13. I like the picture of the phanatic and the background grabs the attention of the viewer. I think another picture or two could be beneficial to your blog, and maybe add more tools to interact with all the blog viewers. Other than that, the post is well worded and informative.

  14. ABSOLUTELY L-O-V-E IT!I like the picture because the Philly Phanatic is one of my favorite mascots. He is definitely the best mascot in ALL of sports. The color also goes well because its pink, and pink is for girls. And your a girl. Your blog is absolutely perfect just like you.

  15. The background is eye catching but the more I look at it it kinda hurts my eyes. The picture of the Philly Phanatic is pretty cool but maybe a picture of him with some fans or a player could have been better. Overall though I like the page and it is a very nice design.

  18. I like this picture because it shows that everyone and their mothers tweet about what is going on. Your blog is really pretty but your obsession with the Philly Phanatic is odd. I love the color scheme and the stripes. This is a well done blog but not as well done as mine.
